Northstone is an increasingly popular subdivision of Huntersville, NC and growing more and more by the day.
The beautiful homes, landscaped cul-de-sacs, and private country club provide residents with an exceptional quality of life. The community is conveniently located between Charlotte and Lake Norman.
Northstone is built for both comfortable living and enhanced elegance. You can find everything from single story ranches to luxurious craftsman style homes, golf course views, and private pools. The curbside appeal is undeniable, but it is the fine details that set Northstone homes apart from the rest. Features like hardwood floors, fireplaces, granite countertops, vaulted ceilings, wainscoting, walk-in closets, jacuzzi tubs, screened porches, and sprawling decks give each home the wow factor.
Homebuyers can expect a nice discount in this neighborhood’s hot market. As of June 2019, the average sold price of a house in Northstone is $386,734, which is currently a significant drop from the average listing price. With the housing inventory hovering around five months supply, the area is reflecting clear signs of leaning into a “buyer’s market.”

The artistically landscaped 237 acres is home to an award-winning golf course, lighted tennis courts, multiple pools, a staffed fitness center, adults-only bar, family dining room, and children’s playground.
Club memberships are affordable and straightforward. Only annual dues with no initiation fees, no minimum spending requirements, and no assessments.
The Northstone Country Club restaurant offers upscale fare for lunch and dinner. Enjoy casual dining, daily specials, catering for parties, as well as a clever weekly “curbside service” for a convenient family-style take out meal.
The club hosts a variety of spirited social activities year round including live music, wine tastings, a ‘Blues, Brews, & BBQ’ event in the summer, fireworks on the Fourth of July, Rocktoberfest each fall, and special holiday brunches.
The P. B. Dye signature golf course was rated #1 by Charlotte’s Business Journal and “Best Golf Course in Lake Norman” by the readers of Currents Magazine. Golfers appreciate the strategically placed bunkers, immaculate bent greens, and multiple tee boxes offering a variety of strategic angles. An onsite instructional facility offers private lessons and training aids.
Four new lighted tennis courts have recently been added, making a total of seven courts available to members. Compete in League Play or learn just for fun by joining the club’s instructional programs.
For the swimmers, splashers, and sunbathers there is an impressive aquatic complex of four pools: an adults-only pool for laps and leisure, a family pool, a gadget pool, and a plunge pool with three water slides. The club hosts annual pool parties but every day poolside feels like a party with the cabanas, tiki bar, and concession stand.
A 3,000 square foot fitness center provides personal training, massage therapy, and a wide variety of group exercise classes each month. There are programs for body sculpting, yoga, sports conditioning, spin classes, boot camp, running clinics, and more.
Beyond the Country Club
The NorthStone community has more reason to boast than its beautiful homes and acclaimed country club. Huntersville is a gem of historical sites, cultural activities, and outdoor recreation.
The thriving shopping district of Huntersville Birkdale Village is only fifteen minutes from Northstone. The charming retail and residential area has tree-lined sidewalks, gardens, over 50 shops, a variety of restaurants, a huge theater, and an interactive fountain the kids can play in. On the weekends the village is lively with outdoor music.
There are several nearby waterfront parks along the southern shore of Lake Norman. A favorite among locals is Ramsey Creek Park & Beach. The 46-acre recreational area features a sandy beach swimming area, picnic shelters, nature trails, fishing pier, boat docks, fenced-in dog park, playground, and volleyball court.
Jetton Park has tennis courts, a newer playground, mountain bike trail, and a scenic, shaded walking trail along the lake. There is also a sandy beach, but no swimming is permitted.
The Latta Plantation Nature Preserve along the eastern shore of Mountain Island Lake forms a peninsula that extends into the lake. The 1,460 acres offer countless opportunities for outdoor activities including paddling on Mountain Island Lake and Gar Creek, fishing, picnicking, and miles of scenic trails with views of the lake, forests, and streams.
The preserve is home to the historic Latta Plantation, a cotton plantation circa 1800 and living history farm, as well as the Carolina Raptor Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to the exploration and rehabilitation of birds of prey with inspiring exhibits and engaging programs.
Whether you are a nature lover, city dweller, sportsman, or outdoor recreation enthusiast, Northstone Community of Huntersville has it all.
